[:en]Last Wednesday 1 December, Dr. Benjamin Jensen and Dr. Brandon Valeriano visited IADC for a rich classroom discussion about the challenges for cyber security/defense in the core course Multidimensional Security in the Americas, taught by Dr. Mark Hamilton and Prof. Katherine Almeida. Themes included the use of cyber capabilities by state and non-state actors as well as critical reflections on offensive vs. defensive responses, great power competition, artificial intelligence, and an ever-evolving information/surveillance marketplace. Dr. Jensen and Dr. Valeriano are authors of high profile publications on cyber security, asymmetric warfare, military transformation, and international relations, among other topics. In recent years, they have collaborated with diverse organizations, including the Marine Corps University, Cyber Solarium Commission, Cato Institute, and CSIS.
