[:en]In December2021, the IADC Research and Publications Division succeeded in publishing its first externally peer-reviewed article entitled, “Can Latin America AML effectiveness impact corruption prevention?”. The article was published by the Journal of Money Laundering Control.
This article was authored by Research Intern, Ms. Sarahi Cruz Salazar, and her mentor, Dr. Marcio Anselmo, and is a derivative of the Research Project “The impacts of Corruption in the Western Hemisphere and Regional Responses,” first developed at the IADC in July 2021 and led by Dr. Marcio Anselmo.
This Research Project, together with others developed by the IADC Research and Publications Division, endeavor to promote hemispheric thinking and improve IADC academic outreach, contributing to the formation of leaders in Hemispheric Defense and Security that will leverage the knowledge required to address the problems plaguing the nations of the Western Hemisphere.
