IADC’s 2022 State of the World Conference

[:en]Through numerous invited experts, readings, and group exercises, the IADC’s 2022 State of the World Conference promoted a set of discussions on Defense, Security, Economical, Political, Social, and Science and Technology issues that aimed to more comprehensively address the regions involving the European, African, and Asian continents and Oceania. As we continue to face the Covid-19 global crisis and its impacts, such as rising global inflation, global energy and supply chain crisis, as well as the advance of extremist movements and climate change, this event provided the opportunity to establish important milestones that will impact the Western Hemisphere over the next ten years. Thus, with these new geopolitical perspectives, the Conference could contribute to a broader regional analysis on issues such as refugee flows and migration, non-traditional threats, the use of armed forces in public security and defense, and actions related to regional development. Finally, this event was made possible by the generous participation of partner nations from across the hemisphere and the U.S. Department of Defense South Command.[:]
