May 6 was the last day of the Outside Continental United States Field Study in Panama.
The day’s events included a thought-provoking and enlightening dialogue from senior representatives of the Embera people, an indigenous population that resides in Panama’s remote Darien region. Class 61 also got to hear from a number of Panamanian experts regarding economic development, information dissemination, and strategic communication. In the afternoon, Class 61 was treated to an alumni panel, where they heard first-hand accounts on how former students were able to apply the knowledge gained from the Master’s program to address challenging strategic problems.
