Season 2 of our podcast “The CIDcast” is out today!

Our first episode is aptly titled: Women, Peace and Security.

In 2017, Congress passed the Women, Peace and Security Act that called for the United States to be a global leader in promoting meaningful participation of women in conflict prevention, management and resolution.  It is at the Combatant Commands, namely SOUTHCOM, where the WPS Program is crafted to suit the needs of the United States and Partner Nations.

Our guest is Lt. Colonel Duilia Turner. Lt. Colonel Turner is an Air Force Foreign Area Officer and Chief of the Women, Peace and Security Program at SOUTHCOM. She is also a host in the WPS “Breaking Barriers” podcast.

Our host for this episode is Major Tahina Montoya, an Air Force Reserves Intelligence Officer and former IADC staff member.
