The Inter-American Defense College hosted the Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies in Defense and Security Symposium at Fort McNair, Washington, D.C., convening civilian and military leaders, government experts, and private sector partners.
Representatives from United States Cyber Command, including Col. Joseph M. Hinson IV, Lt. Col. Michael Maurais, and Mr. Adam Lucht, addressed the mission and strategic role of cyber operations amid hybrid threats and state competition. Private sector leaders Mr. Camilo González of Amazon Web Services, Mr. Dan Ellis of Google Public Sector, and Mr. Christopher Boyer of AT&T Enterprise highlighted digital resilience, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and critical infrastructure protection.
The symposium reinforced the College’s role as a hemispheric forum for strategic dialogue and leader development in the cyber domain.
