The Inter-American Defense College welcomed Brazilian Navy Adm. Renato Rodrigues de Aguiar Freire, chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces, and members of a Brazilian delegation to Fort Lesley J. McNair in Washington, D.C., July 13, 2026.
IADC leadership welcomed Adm. Aguiar Freire and participated in an official photo, office call and institutional briefing.
During the visit, IADC leadership provided an overview of the college and its academic mission. The delegation also participated in an exchange of institutional tokens, a visitor book signing and a tour of college facilities.
The visit supported professional relationships and communication between IADC and Brazilian partners.
