The afternoon panel discussed ‘Setting Conditions to Advance WPS Operationally and Institutionally’ with Dr. Lauren Mackenzie, Marine Corps University’s Professor of Military Cross-Cultural Competence and co-lead for the Women, Peace and Security Scholars Program; Ms. Brenda Oppermann, currently an Associate Professor in the College of Leadership and Ethics at the U.S. Naval War College, specializing in WPS, stability operations, organizational change and informal justice; and Mr. Nicholas Tomb, the Functional Co-Lead for Women, Peace and Security at the Institute for Security Governance.
Facilitated working groups focused on specific ways to advance women’s meaningful participation to institutionalize and operationalize the WPS Agenda in their respective countries.
